3) Audience Feedback Revisions - Evaluation - What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

It was clear that the audience feedback from classmates and teachers, that some scenes in the original script and that we had filmed and placed in our trailer/film from the beginning were questionable. This could have been due to them being misleading or weak in comparison to the scenes we had filmed, and we did not want this as we wanted a good all round film, without weak parts, as the strong scenes would highlight the weaker scenes more blatantly. When classmates could see anomalies and disadvantages it was obvious that other audiences watching the completed copy would be able to see weaknesses in scenes, acting, sound quality, locations and the weather, which may have been wrong in comparison to shots in the same scene that were filmed before, all of these variables were apparent at some point. This led us to waiting for the right time to get the perfect shot which would make our film stand out as a high quality production.

Here are some scenes that were scrapped throughout the course of filming due to their poor quality:
I originally liked this scene as it showed the reaction of me to Stephen's death when I put the brake down with force, however I felt that my reaction time could be faster when the camera is recording and also i could jerk around more to add more realism.

In this scene I do not get my lines right, the teacher is overheard speaking in the background and it all looks a bit of a mess as I am unclear in what I should be doing and also how to react to a killing at this point, this is why we had to re-shot this scene a couple of times, making improvements whilst doing it.

This was the bin scene that we originally had planned in our scripting, however when recording this the whole thing turned out a bit of a mess. This was due to poor sound quality as the wind can be heard too loud over the dialogue, and also in places the acting is not very convincing. This made the scene as a whole awful and it was reflecting badly on our film which we felt could be a higher standard, therefore we decided to scrap this scene and replace it with an extended opening and also a different ending when it became obvious to us that we needed to produce a short film instead of a teaser trailer, due to the length of the trailer being too long for normal conventions of the teaser trailer genre.

This video clip is another take on the originally planned second scene as it shows a different camera angle, which I felt was better as it showed a more realistic falling over the bin than the first although the sound quality is still poor.

This is the fight clip for the bin scene, where Jack thinks he is being mocked by fellow sixth formers which he does not take kindly to, which causes him to react badly and become aggressive to the jeering crowd and in frustration and embarrassment for "falling over" he lashes out at a couple of them which causes even more of a clash, this scene ends with Jack walking away. I felt this clip was quite realistic in terms of acting and the execution of the scene as it works well in my opinion. However, it is apparent that the sound quality is not that great due to the over-powering wind and also I began to feel against the whole bin scene as I felt it was weak and dragged the plot down.
